San Juanillo Village

• San Juanillo is located one half mile north of Sonidos Del Mar.
• This quiet fishing village is a serene alternative to the more populated areas of the Nosara Beaches or Tamarindo. It offers a more tranquil setting with the wonders of nature in abundance at your doorstep.
• The protected bay just west of the village offers the very best snorkeling and scuba diving in the area. Charter sport fishing tours are available and horseback riding on the beach and can be arranged at any time.
• The small peaceful town of San Juanillo has a mini supermarket, restaurant, and a bar/disco. There are several other restaurants in the immediate area.
• Ostional National Wildlife Rufuge, three miles south, is the site of the world famous turtle-nesting beach where every year thousands of Olive Ridley and leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
• The scenic area surrounding San Juanillo is home to bands of howler monkeys, coatimundis, kinkajous, exotic birds, butterflies and incredible sunsets.
